GGD
GGD type AC low-voltage distribution cabinet is suitable for the power distribution system of power plants, substations, factories, mines and other power users with AC 50Hz, rated operating voltage of 380V, and rated operating current up to 3150A. It is used for power conversion, distribution and control of power, lighting and power distribution equipment.
GGD type AC low-voltage distribution cabinet is a new type of low-voltage distribution cabinet designed in accordance with the requirements of the superior department in charge of the Ministry of Energy, as well as the majority of power users and design departments, and based on the principles of safety, economy, rationality and reliability. The product has the characteristics of high breaking capacity, good dynamic and thermal stability, flexible electrical scheme, convenient combination, series, strong practicability, novel structure, high protection grade, etc., and can be used as an upgraded product for low-voltage complete switchgear.
GGD type AC low-voltage distribution cabinet complies with standards such as IEC 439 “Low-voltage complete switchgear and controlgear” and GB 7251″ Low-voltage complete switchgear”.
TOONICE’s the full name of GGD low-voltage switchgear is GGD-type AC Low-Voltage Fixed Switchgear. It is one of the most widely used low-voltage power distribution equipment at home and abroad. Its core features include simple structure, cost-effectiveness, and high reliability, making it especially suitable for scenarios with low requirements for power distribution flexibility but limited budgets. Among its name, the first “G” stands for “low-voltage power distribution cabinet”, the second “G” indicates “fixed installation”, and “D” refers to “power application”.
The cabinet body is welded and assembled with 8MF cold-formed steel. Internal electrical components (such as circuit breakers, contactors) are directly fixed on the cabinet body frame by bolts. The wiring method is fixed, and there is no drawer plug-in design. The cabinet body is provided with mounting holes at a 20mm modulus, which has strong universality, but it cannot flexibly expand circuits like GCS/MNS cabinets.
Heat dissipation slots are provided at the upper and lower ends of the cabinet body, which form air ducts by natural convection to effectively reduce internal temperature rise. The standard protection class is IP30, which can prevent the intrusion of solid foreign objects larger than 2.5mm. Users can also customize IP20 – IP40 protection according to environmental requirements (for example, IP40 is selected for places with more dust).
① Rated voltage: 380V (some models support 400V); rated current range: 400 – 3150A;
② Short-circuit withstand capacity: Divided into three models (GGD1 – 15kA, GGD2 – 30kA, GGD3 – 50kA, with 1-second short-time withstand), suitable for power distribution systems with different short-circuit capacities;
③ Busbar system: The main busbar is supported by high-strength DMC/SMC insulating materials, with a maximum current-carrying capacity of up to 3150A, which can meet the power distribution needs of small and medium-sized factories.
Due to its economy and stability, GGD cabinets are widely used in the following fields:
① Power distribution in small and medium-sized factories (such as power control of fans, water pumps, and ordinary machine tools);
② Workshops with low requirements for power supply continuity, such as non-core production lines in traditional manufacturing industries.
① Low-voltage distribution rooms in small shopping malls, schools, and communities, used for power distribution of basic equipment such as lighting and air conditioning;
② Reconstruction projects of old residential communities, which have become the mainstream choice due to low cost and strong compatibility.
① Places with low requirements for maintenance convenience, such as rural power grids and small pumping stations;
② Temporary construction power distribution boxes, which are widely used due to their simple structure and easy portability.
① Select the circuit breaker specification according to the rated current of the circuit. For example, a CM1-225M molded case circuit breaker can be selected for a 200A circuit.
② For places with large short-circuit capacity (such as near transformers), the GGD3 type (with a breaking capacity of 50kA) should be preferred.
For dusty environments, it is recommended to customize IP40 protection. In coastal areas, the cabinet can be required to undergo galvanizing treatment before plastic spraying to improve corrosion resistance.
If there is a demand for capacity increase in the future, spare cabinet positions can be reserved, but it is impossible to add circuits directly in the original cabinet like drawer cabinets.
① The cabinet must be reliably grounded, and the grounding resistance shall be≤4Ω.
② For busbar connections, conductive paste should be applied and tightened with a torque wrench to avoid overheating caused by excessive contact resistance.
