Under normal operation, the insulation material can be used with the equipment throughout the entire process (about 20-25 years); Regularly check whether there is dust accumulation or damage on the surface of the winding. If any abnormalities such as damage or aging occur, it is necessary to contact professional personnel for maintenance and replacement in a timely manner.
The core difference lies in the insulation and heat dissipation medium: dry-type windings are encapsulated with solid insulation materials such as epoxy resin, and air is used as the heat dissipation medium, which is fire-resistant, explosion-proof, environmentally friendly, and pollution-free. It is suitable for indoor and densely populated scenarios, but its capacity and heat dissipation ability are relatively limited; Oil immersed type uses transformer oil as insulation and heat dissipation medium, with high heat dissipation efficiency and larger capacity, suitable for outdoor and high load scenarios, but requires proper sealing protection, which poses certain fire hazards.
There are four common reasons: ① Overloading, operating beyond the rated capacity of the transformer; ② Cooling fan malfunction (such as stalling, insufficient wind speed), poor heat dissipation; ③ Poor ventilation and excessive dust accumulation around the equipment affect heat dissipation; ④ The insulation aging or short circuit of the winding leads to increased losses and sudden temperature rise. When the temperature is too high, the load should be immediately reduced, and the ventilation and cooling systems should be checked. If the problem is not resolved, the machine should be stopped to troubleshoot.
The installation environment should meet three requirements: ① For outdoor installation, choose an area with high terrain, dry and ventilated conditions, no standing water, and away from flammable and explosive materials, and take measures to prevent rain, dust, and collision; ② Indoor installation should ensure good ventilation in the computer room, reserve sufficient maintenance space (usually no less than 1.5 meters on both sides), and avoid moisture and dust accumulation; ③ The installation area should be kept away from strong electromagnetic interference and vibration sources to avoid affecting the stability of equipment operation.
