Isolation handcart
Isolation handcart is one of the core functional units of medium and high voltage switchgear, mainly used to achieve circuit isolation, safety break, maintenance grounding, visible break point and other functions in high voltage distribution systems. It is widely matched with KYN28, XGN, VS1 and other series switchgear. The product adopts a modular handcart structure, with reliable mechanical interlocking, clear visible fracture, stable propulsion and extraction operations, meeting core requirements such as safe operation of the power system, equipment maintenance, and fault isolation. It is a key component to ensure personal and equipment safety.
Adopting a clear visual breakpoint design, the insulation distance and creepage distance of the isolated fracture meet national and industry standards. During maintenance, it can be visually confirmed that the circuit is completely disconnected, significantly improving operational safety.
Configure multiple mechanical interlocking mechanisms to achieve mandatory logic such as “closing cannot be pushed forward, pushing cannot be closed, grounding must be in place before opening the door, and locking cannot be released without being in place”, structurally eliminating dangerous operations such as pushing and pulling with load, accidental closing, and misoperation.
Using high-strength sheet metal and precision guide rails, combined with rolling/sliding mechanisms, the pushing, pulling, positioning, and locking actions are lightweight and reliable, with long-term frequent operation without jamming or deviation, and high maintenance efficiency.
According to the standard cabinet size and interface design, it can directly match mainstream medium and high voltage switchgear models. Products of the same specification have good interchangeability, making it easy to replace, expand, and modify on site.
The key insulation components are made of high-performance epoxy resin/unsaturated polyester material, and the mechanical structure is treated with anti-corrosion, rust prevention, and strengthening, which can adapt to indoor conventional and high humidity, high dust industrial environments. The mechanical and electrical life meets long-term operation requirements.

The isolation handcart mainly provides safety isolation, maintenance isolation, and visible circuit breaking points, but does not have short-circuit breaking capability; Circuit breaker handcart is used for breaking, closing, and protecting loads and fault currents, with arc extinguishing and short-circuit breaking capabilities. The two are usually used together in the system to achieve dual security of “protection+isolation”.
The equipment must be used when it needs to be powered off for inspection, maintenance, testing, or when a clear, visible, and reliable electrical isolation fracture needs to be formed; At the same time, in the design of switchgear, it is used for scenarios such as busbar segmentation, line isolation, PT/lightning arrester circuit isolation, etc., to meet safety regulations and operation and maintenance requirements.
The test location is used for secondary circuit testing, interlock verification, and functional inspection. At this time, the main circuit is not connected to high voltage and can be safely tested; The working position is the main circuit normally connected to the system and the live operating position. Both positions have reliable positioning and locking to prevent accidental movement.
First, confirm whether the interlocking conditions are met (such as the circuit breaker being in the open position and the grounding switch being in the correct state), and then check whether the track is deformed, foreign objects, corroded, and whether the insulation parts are bumped or offset; Forced and violent operations are prohibited. Professional personnel should adjust the mechanism, lubricate the track, calibrate the dimensions, and if necessary, return to the factory for maintenance.
It’s not possible. The isolation handcart does not have an arc extinguishing device. It is strictly prohibited to push or pull it out with load. The isolation handcart must be operated only after the front-end circuit breaker/load switch has been opened and there is no load current in the circuit. Otherwise, it may cause arc short circuit, equipment damage, and personal danger.
