New Energy Grid-Connected and Smart Grid Solutions
1. Environmentally Friendly GIS in Offshore Wind Power
TOONICE is using environmentally friendly gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) in its offshore wind power projects, replacing sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆) gas with dry air. This switchgear is 30% smaller than traditional GIS, making it ideal for space-constrained offshore wind turbine booster stations. The system also features enhanced salt spray resistance, meeting the protection standards for harsh marine environments.
This solution integrates a digital platform for real-time monitoring of circuit breaker status and gas pressure. Combined with a submarine cable fault location system, this solution has reduced the offshore wind power grid connection failure rate to just 0.05 per 100 kilometers per year, ensuring stable and reliable power transmission.
2. Collaborative Control of Permanent Magnet Vacuum Circuit Breakers in Distributed Energy
TOONICE deployed permanent magnetic vacuum circuit breakers with three-level overcurrent protection and three-stage automatic reclosing for a distributed photovoltaic project in an industrial park. These circuit breakers, connected to the microgrid controller via an RS-485 interface, can isolate photovoltaic inverter faults within 0.2 seconds.
The system has a mechanical lifespan of up to 30,000 cycles, improving power distribution reliability and efficiency. By leveraging the peak-valley pricing mechanism of smart meters, the system has increased the park’s photovoltaic power self-consumption rate to 82%, saving over 2 million RMB annually.
